OUR TECHNOLOGY

01 / EASY

Our project uses Arduino which means that all the sensors and timers installed in it will help us to do all the work to take care of our plants. With just simple adjustments, we can control the number of cycles we want to reuse the water, how much fertilizer is added every day, and the pH value of the soil water to ensure the optimum growth of the plants.  It saves labor cost as it doesn’t need any manual help.

02 / EFFECTIVE

A pH system is implemented in our project. We can measure the pH of the soil water and ensure the pH value is always at its optimum level. Depending on which species of plants, we can adjust the pH value of the system and add fertilizer needed according to the need. By doing this, we can create the best growing environment for the plants to increase our nation's crop yields and produce better food for our people.  

03 / ECO-FRIENDLY

The fertilizer dissolved in the water is recycled so that the plants can absorb unused excess nutrients after the excess dissolved nutrients solution is recycled back to the plants. This process is carried out a few times to ensure that the maximum amount of dissolved nutrients is absorbed by the plants.  By this way, we can minimize the occurrence of eutrophication in our country while ensuring our plants or crops get sufficient nutrients required for growth.

OUR STORY

A group of innovators in Penang Matriculation College found out that plants give a large impact to a better living space. Therefore, we come out with a solution to make planting at home easier than before.

OUR VISION

Building a better living space have been our core vision and out main inspiration of the project. We believe that by integrating plants with living space, we can produce a better atmosphere for daily activities.

OUR TECHNOLOGY

What differentiates our automatic watering system from other systems is that we managed to solve the problem of water shortage by implementing a water recycling system down at the base of the device. Excess water from the soil will flow down and channel back to the reservoir. The pH sensor attached to the reservoir balances the water pH.
